Answers to your questions.
The N7
What is the N7?
The N7 is Navia's 100% electric boat, designed electric from the very first sketch and built for rental operators who are out at sea with their guests every day. It has a 61 kWh battery, a 40 kW motor (about 54 HP) and carries up to 10 people. It cruises at sea, on lakes and along rivers.
How many people can it carry?
The N7 carries up to 10 people.
What is the range?
Over 100 nautical miles at 5 knots. Top speed is 16 knots and, as with any boat, range depends on your pace: for a full day of rentals you have all the margin you need.
Do I need a boating licence?
Yes, the N7 requires a boating licence. The upcoming 40HP will be licence free.
Is it approved for commercial rental?
Yes. The N7 is approved for commercial rental use and RINA certified.
What battery does it use?
A 61 kWh battery built to last, rated for about 3,000 charge cycles.
Can I try the N7?
Of course. Before any commitment, come aboard and try it on the water. Write to us and we will set up a sea trial together.
Charging
How do I charge the N7?
A 16 or 32 A dockside socket is all you need. Charge it overnight while it is moored and it is ready in the morning. When you need it, the N7 also supports DC charging up to 75 kW with a CCS connector.
How long does a full charge take?
On a 16 or 32 A dockside socket a full charge takes 8 to 16 hours, depending on the socket.
Where can I charge?
In any marina with a 16 or 32 A socket. Navia partners with A2A for charging.
What if the battery runs low while cruising?
NAV.IA monitors the state of charge in real time and alerts you early, so you can plan your return with all the margin you need.
Purchase and long term rental
Can I buy the N7, or is it rental only?
Your choice. You can buy the N7 or take it on long term rental, with a fixed monthly fee and services included.
How does long term rental work?
First, come and try it. Then we listen: you tell us how you work and together we figure out whether the N7 is right for you. It is delivered ready in your marina, with NAV.IA set up and your staff trained. At the end of the contract you renew, move to a newer boat or buy it out.
What does the fee include?
Propulsion maintenance, third party liability insurance, 24/7 support, the NAV.IA platform and software updates. You just enjoy the sea.
How much does it cost?
We define pricing and terms together with you. Write to us and we will send you everything you need.
How long is the contract?
The standard long term rental period is 60 months.
How many boats can I order?
As many as your business needs. For an N7 fleet, write to us and we will build the proposal together.
Does an electric boat add value to my rentals?
Yes. Time aboard is quiet, clean and free of fuel smells, and your guests remember it as something special. And at the end of the day there is no refuelling: you simply charge at the dock.
NAV.IA
What is NAV.IA?
NAV.IA is the N7 telemetry platform. Every boat streams its operational data in real time, which you check from your smartphone or computer to manage your fleet with precision.
What does NAV.IA monitor?
Geofencing with an alarm if the boat leaves the permitted area, battery state of charge, electric motor temperature, onboard systems, operating status of each unit (underway, at anchor or charging) and instant notifications of faults and alarms.
Do I need to be tech savvy?
Not at all. The interface is simple and we train your staff at delivery. Throughout the season you always have our support.
Support
Who takes care of maintenance?
Navia. With long term rental, propulsion maintenance is included in the fee.
What happens if something breaks?
Our support is available 24/7. NAV.IA alerts flag faults immediately, so we can step in before they become a problem.
What about extraordinary repairs?
For damage caused by use we prepare a quote, and we go ahead only once you approve it.
The 40HP
What is the Navia 40HP?
Our next boat: compact, easy to drive and licence free. It is coming soon: leave your email on the site and we will let you know as soon as it is ready.
Marine protected areas
Is the N7 suited to marine protected areas?
Yes, it is one of the ways we picture it. The N7 glides in quietly, with zero exhaust emissions, and life underwater carries on as before. Each area sets its own access rules: we are happy to help you check them for the waters where you operate.
